Division Assistant Principal (Spruce Grove/Stony Plain/Devon)
Evergreen Catholic Separate School is currently seeking a dynamic leader with proven record of success to be a school-based assistant principal. The initial assignment would be within the school communities of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Devon Alberta. The position commences on August 26, 2025 of the 2025-2026 school year.
The Division
Evergreen Catholic School Division is comprised of eleven schools in the communities of Devon, Hinton, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Westlock. The Division has approximately 4100 students in pre-kindergarten to Grade 12 programs. We are a Catholic faith community committed to serving each individual child in an atmosphere of faith, hope, and love through our mission of Ever Groving, Learning, and Living in Christ.
Job Details
The assistant principal occupies a central role in the success of all aspects of the school, by building positive and proactive relationships and empowering staff, students, volunteers, and community members. In addition to being innovative and visionary leaders, candidates must have a passion for educational excellence and a proven track record of exemplary performance in the following areas:
- Student learning and achievement
- Catholic faith leadership
- Involvement in his/her parish community
- Participation in the sacraments of the Church
- Commitment to ongoing religious formation
- Commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Curricular and instructional practices suited to 21st century learning and learners
- Differentiated and inclusive school environments
- Educational technology
- Inspirational leadership
- Student-led initiatives and leadership
- Open, positive and respectful relationships with all members of school community
- Effective school management
- Organization and communication skills
Qualifications & Application Process

Three Letters of Reference (educational based)
Current pastoral reference
Verification of qualifications (Alberta Teacher Certificate) and experience
Verification of Teacher Qualifications Statement (TQS)
