About the role

Position Summary:

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Custodians to support schools and facilities in the Burns Lake area, including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle and Grassy Plains. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing custodial and maintenance services in accordance with district procedures
  • Ensuring safety, health, sanitation, and security standards are met
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of school buildings and facilities

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Building Service Worker Certificate or equivalent (minimum 40 hours of instruction)
  • Minimum of 6 months of related custodial experience
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures

The successful applicant must complete a Criminal Record Check through the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). Criminal Record Checks Checks through local RCMP detachments will not be accepted.
