About the role
Responsibilities Shareholder Relationship Management
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of FX trading services offered by BNY Mellon and CIBC.
- Prepare and present business cases to relevant committees to support business growth and service enhancements.
- Lead the measurement and evaluation of services provided to CIBC Mellon clients, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Relationship Building and Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with senior executives at existing and prospective client organizations.
- Identify and initiate revenue optimization opportunities for CIBC Mellon through FX execution services.
- Formulate and execute strategies tailored to specific client needs and broader market segment trends.
- Conduct client site visits, deliver presentations, and represent CIBC Mellon at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Develop and implement client communication strategies for FX and other Capital Markets services.
- Provide expert support to Business Development and Marketing teams for RFPs and RFIs.
- Collaborate with Relationship Management and Business Development leadership to oversee the distribution and reporting of client campaign communications.
Reporting and Analysis
- Develop and present reports to senior management as required, highlighting key business and risk insights.
- Participate in annual budget planning and forecasting processes.
- Design and implement Business Resilience Plans (BRP).
Process Improvement
- Lead the development, completion, and implementation of processes, policies, and procedures for Capital Markets FX.
- Collaborate with other departments on policy and procedure development, and conduct training and informational sessions as required.
Qualifications Specific Knowledge & Skills (not preferred or an asset)
- University degree; CFA designation
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in capital markets, FX trading, or related financial services roles, with a focus on business development and client relationship management.
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or relationship management within a financial institution, preferably in capital markets or FX services.
- In-depth knowledge of FX trading, capital markets products, and related regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Volcker Rule).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience delivering presentations to senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and client needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and familiarity with CRM or sales management tools.
