Job Description

Our Cooks bring culinary excellence to life! They take pride in delivering inspired, high-quality dishes with consistency and care. Their passion for food is contagious, and their commitment to craftsmanship ensures that every plate served reflects the very best of our kitchen standards.

  • Execute tasks as delegated by the Sous Chef, Chef, or General Manager with precision and attention to detail.

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Oliver & Bonacini standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness.

  • Follow all recipes, portion sizes, and plating specifications as outlined by the restaurant.

  • Maintain and manage a detailed prep list for your station to support seamless service.

  • Utilize the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to optimize freshness and minimize waste.

  • Support with inventory control, including tracking, organizing, and reporting stock levels.

  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing all food deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Keep all food preparation areas, equipment, and tools clean and sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations.

  • Adhere strictly to WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) guidelines.

  • Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards as required by local health authorities and internal policies.

  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations and team success.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.

  • A culinary diploma or degree is an asset but not required — passion and skill go a long way.

  • Solid understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife-handling skills.

  • Ability to follow direction, multitask, and remain calm and composed under pressure.

  • Physically able to stand and be on your feet for the entire duration of your shift (100%).

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine love for cooking

  • Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays availability as needed.
