We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on individual to join our manufacturing team as a Shop Hand Assistant. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced production environment while learning valuable skills in plastics fabrication. You'll support daily operations, assist skilled team members, and help keep the shop running smoothly.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist with cutting, gluing, heat bending, and basic fabrication of plastic materials
- Support fabricators and machine operators with production tasks and job prep
- Measure and mark materials accurately using tape measures and calipers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following shop housekeeping standards
- Operate basic shop equipment (e.g., saws, heat benders, gluing stations) under supervision
- Help move parts between workstations and assist with staging materials
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and professional manner (training provided if needed)
- Follow all safety guidelines and use proper PPE at all times
- Report issues with equipment or materials to the shop lead or supervisor
- Assist with basic machine maintenance and shop organization
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and fabrication teams
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Safety-first attitude and attention to detail
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to pass a background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
