Summary

As a Sales Associate at MUJI Canada, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while promoting our unique product offerings. Located in a dynamic retail environment, you will help customers discover the essence of our no-brand quality goods and contribute to our mission of pursuing simplicity and quality.

Responsibilities

Customer Service and Sales

  • Ensure that customers are the top priority
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Help customers make selections by building customer confidence, offering suggestions and opinions
  • Be alert and respond to customers’ needs and their buying signals
  • Be aware of store daily and weekly budgets and promotions, and actively seek sales to achieve these
  • Develop knowledge of the MUJI product range and sales techniques required to sell them

Store Merchandising / Product Handling

  • Develop high standards of merchandise presentation and stock handling as per MUJI North America guidelines
  • Ensure that shop floor and staff areas housekeeping, and presentation are exemplary

Systems

  • Make efficient and effective use of all store equipment and systems, including the POS (point of sale) system
  • Assist where directed, with all forms of stock control, including twice-yearly inventories, pricing, sales preparation

Security

  • Aid management team with general security of stock
  • Adhere to company’s security procedures

Health & Safety

  • Be aware of and adhere to company’s health and safety guidelines
  • Adhere to proper manual handling techniques

General

  • Make significant contributions to teamwork environment
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including late shifts, weekends and holidays
