GFL Environmental is looking for a Cube Van Organics Driver to join our team in Calgary!
As a Class 5 Cube Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers. An ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor and is physically capable of completing job duties in a positive, team oriented and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Satisfy customer needs for service. Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies
-
Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections
-
Complete an assigned daily route as assigned by the Operations Manager
-
Daily route consists of driving to customer sites (which can be remote), securing bin on truck, emptying bin and returning bin to customer site
-
Perform driver check-ins at days end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
-
Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
-
Follow all protocols while dumping loads at waste facilities
-
May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager
-
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
1-2 years commercial truck driving experience (preferred)
-
Possess a valid Class 5 License.
-
Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
-
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong customer focus
-
Knowledge of the city and surrounding areas
-
Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks
-
Knowledge of industry an asset
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to weather elements
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Physically intensive
- Exposure to noise and dust
