About the role

Description:

The Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at University of Toronto and the Division of Cardiology of the University Health Network (UHN) and Sinai Health System (SHS) are seeking to recruit a qualified full-time Clinical Academic Cardiologist with expertise in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) to be based at the Toronto General Hospital, 585 University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5G 2N2. A graduate degree or equivalent and a proven record of excellence in research are strong pre-requisites. The successful applicant has demonstrated the capacity for independent academic activity in the field of Cardiology, and he/she/they is expected to advance the scholarship of HCM. Scholarly excellence will be assessed by the presence of research grants, publications in leading journals, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades, and other related accomplishments.

Additional sources of income from Alternate Funding Plans (AFPs) and merit awards from the Department of Medicine may be available. Health benefit options and plans are supplied per institutional policy. In addition, the selected candidate may be reimbursed partial start-up costs for office expenses.
