About the role

Role Description/Criteria St John Vianney's invites applications from suitably qualified and passionate teachers for the position of a classroom teacher (Part time 0.4 in a Year 1-2 classroom on a Monday and Friday). The position commences on 21st July 2025. The successful applicant will demonstrate :

  • a willingness to support the values and ethos of Catholic Education
  • strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • the skills and abilities to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience
  • a collegial, team-based approach to learning and teaching
  • the ability to use data to inform teaching and learning
  • knowledge in the Science of Learning is favourable
  • sound knowledge and understanding of Religious Education within the Primary School
  • competent skills and pedagogy around Google applications
  • a sound understanding of learning in an EAL community
  • the ability to build positive supportive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • initiative and a commitment to ongoing Professional Learning
  • an understanding and commitment to Child Safety.

The successful applicant will have:

  • VIT registration
  • a current Police Check
  • RE Accreditation or a willingness to complete
  • a current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to undertake a First Aid Course).
