Accounts Payable Clerk

1-year Term

Our Accounts Payable Clerk builds relationships with customers and keeps the promises we make to our vendors and suppliers. If you are a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional who is eager to learn and thrives on deadlines, we would love to connect.

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk (1-year term) to join our head office located in Vernon, British Columbia. Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Business/Accounting or related post-secondary training.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Exceptional customer service skills for both internal and external clients.

  • Previous accounts payable experience and working knowledge of JDE Edwards and Coupa would be considered assets.

In your role you will:

  • Be accountable for the timely processing of payables.

  • You will verify accounts from suppliers, making sure that payments are in the correct currency, are coded correctly, discounts taken, payments processed on time and in correct financial period for payables received.

  • Use a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Be a resourceful team player who can work independently.
