About the role

Experienced Swamper

Avenge has multiple projects throughout Alberta and Northeast BC and is seeking great employees to perform Swamper duties for Hydrovac Trucks, Combo Vac Trucks as well as High Pressure Water Jetting Trucks.

Applicants must be willing to work long hours, get dirty and work in extreme weather and conditions. Work locations may vary based on customer requirements and company needs. This position will require travel. Candidate may be required to work out of town or in camp. Shift schedules are determined on a project-to-project basis. You may be required to work 10-12 hour shifts.

Swampers must pass company and client reoccurring pre-access drug and alcohol testing at time of work assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Attends daily safety meetings and ensures all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assists with swamping, staging, & spotting of units
  • Assist with pre-mobilization rig up of equipment
  • Communicates with supervisors throughout the day

What we need from you?

  • Class 5 Driver License (required)
  • Experience working alongside the following units: Hydrovac's, Combo's, other Vac Trucks, High Pressure Water Jetting Trucks.
  • Experience working Oil & Gas Sites, Pipeline work experience;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • On call, night shifts, weekends, holidays and over-time are a requirement.
  • Up to date safety certificates: First Aid Level C, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Ground Disturbance 201, PCST, CSO, Certification , CSTS2020
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, crouch and kneel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass company and client drug and alcohol testing protocol

We assist with obtaining pre-requisite industry certificates.
