The District of West Vancouver Community Services Department has immediate openings for Casual Dishwashers at the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre’s busy Garden Side Cafeteria .
Reporting to the Food Services Coordinator, primary duties will include:
- Ensuring that all dishes and cookware are washed, dried and put away
- Washing, drying and storing laundry as needed
- Communicating with and supporting volunteers who are assisting with food services tasks
- Conforming with health and safety regulations
- Performing other kitchen duties as required
The preferred candidate will have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, will have excellent work ethic along with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work well under strict time constraints. Working knowledge of industrial dishwashers will be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will be required to supply an acceptable police information check and a copy of their credentials.

Hours of Work:
Up to 25 hours per week. Hours and days of work may vary and will include weekend and/or early morning or evening hours.
Starting Rate of Pay:
Market Adjustment: $19.22 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits
This position has a pay structure with two steps which increases based on the number of hours worked in the position.
