Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and retirement homes. The RPN will play a crucial role in supporting patients' health and well-being through effective nursing practices and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor patients’ health status, documenting changes and communicating with the healthcare team.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and manage blood samples as needed.
  • Assist in pain management strategies for patients experiencing acute or chronic pain.
  • Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Uphold safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a nursing home, retirement homes, assisted living facility, hospital, or acute care setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients or in senior care is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in patient care.
