Brooks is located in the Grassland Natural Region of Alberta, home to a number of enticing attractions including the JBS Leisure Centre which houses a curling rink, aquatic center w/ wave pool, a gymnasium, and fitness center, the Duke of Sutherland Park featuring baseball diamonds, a soccer field, playground and 3200 sq ft waterpark. Description:

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Strong technical skills and adaptability is imperative in this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems, as well as recent phlebotomy and bench experience is an asset.
