Job Summary Job Description What is the Opportunity? RBC Wealth Management Canada is looking for a Business Application Specialist (BAS) to join the Training & Development department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing one-on-one and team training to RBC Dominion Securities and RBC Phillips, Hager and North branch teams. In helping them perform at their best, you will be essential in, delivering application-based training, sharing best practices and consistently supporting them with the tools and resources needed to increase efficiency and identify opportunities.
Alongside a diverse, nation-wide team, you will have the opportunity to build trust and rapport with branch teams across all of RBC Wealth Management Canada via training sessions, to help position Training & Development as a reliable partner to the field.
What will you do?
- Provide one-on-one and team training sessions in-person and virtually via the WebEx conferencing system.
- Train and coach learners on relevant tasks and business applications related to Account Administration, Portfolio Management, Trading, Client Relationship Management, Wealth Management and Business Development.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert in guiding learners on how to use business applications to the best of their ability.
- Spot opportunities and facilitate the sharing of best practices to help branch teams increase efficiency and scale their business
- Learn new applications along with their business relevance, strategy and benefits.
- Provide support for any future technology changes or releases as they occur.
- Deliver presentations to provide timely updates and support branch initiatives.
- Participate in various ‘special team’ initiatives or projects as they occur.
What do you need to succeed? Must Have
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the wealth management industry.
- In-branch Retail Brokerage experience with a strong understanding of business applications, processes, and tasks.
- Aptitude toward learning new software, ability to multitask and ability to demonstrate and present essential information in a concise way.
- Above average inter-personal skills, including the entrepreneurial perspectives of Investment Advisors and Investment Counsellors.
- Able to work from your home office, which is compliant with home office standards; and, able to travel locally and across Canada when required.
Nice to Have
- Strong public speaker; comfortable and able to clearly facilitate and deliver a message to a moderate sized group of peers.
- Experience in a training or coaching capacity, along with a consulting and problem-solving skill set.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conducts and Practices Handbook (CPH).

Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? This role supports RBC Investor Services’ clients from a digital adoption and execution perspective. It ensures client success through strong engagement and exceptional service. They are responsible for anticipating, understanding, and addressing the clients’ needs. They must also build strong relationships across the various groups that support our clients, including Operations, Client Management, Product, Risk, Technology…critical to the end-to-end client lifecycle. With a consultative, solutions-oriented approach; they will be expected to demonstrate initiative, energy, and superior execution in growing and maintaining their assigned relationships.
What will you do?
- Support the client operating model design, change management and execution
- Develop a greater understanding of client strategy & efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Support clients through execution-oriented service delivery and improvements
- Conduct gap assessments to identify client specific opportunities to improve and drive digital adoption
- Analytics of client data to drive improved experience and improved financial results
- Lead and support client on all operating model change/design and execution discussions/planning. This will include leading any product additions that change a clients operating model (ex onboarding GC Direct, CLS, migrating to Swift)
- Lead and own` annual product roadmap client presentations including the coordination of agendas, materials and both internal and client participants
- Provide support and participate in the Quarterly Service Review preparation and execution including providing inputs for the creation of materials such as scorecards and KPI data
- Provide support for and participate in key client strategic meetings including annual Client Due Diligence presentations
- Preparation and ownership of regularly occurring client monthly meetings - coordinate schedules, accountabilities and target dates for all client initiatives are clearly communicated.
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
- 7+ years of work experience within the Asset Servicing or Asset Management space
- Experience with creating and executing digital adoption strategy.
- Experience and familiarity operations such as Trade and Cash Processing, Fund Administration, Middle Office and Transfer Agency
- Experience with Data analytics
- Bachelor's degree in related field of finance or business
- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
