Your new role

With such an well regarded reputation, vacancies at this firm are rare. However, a senior Associate is looking for an intermediate to senior Law Clerk to support her practice.

Clerks typically function as hybrid Assistants and Law Clerks at this firm to better ensure they have a full picture of the practice and take full ownership over the work.

In this 1:1 share with a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparing drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as:
  • Affidavit of Service
  • Financial Statements
  • Net Family Property Statements
  • Motions
  • Conference briefs
  • Confirmations, and correspondence
  • Prepare and maintain client files
  • Preparing files for court
  • Obtaining and assembling disclosure
  • Scheduling Lawyer’s meetings and other events
  • Communications with client, opposing counsel, and third parties
  • Transcription of letters, memos, and documents
  • Closing files

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for Law Clerks with 5 or more years of experience in a family law practice, ideally working exclusively with private clients. Past experience working with a Senior Associate or Partner is strongly preferred.

A keen attention to detail is a MUST in this office and being able to anticipate the Lawyer's needs while thinking two steps ahead will ensure your success.

Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $80,000-95,000 with 4 weeks of vacation.
