DUTIES
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Health, two Nursing Instructors / Special Educators are required to support instruction to students in both
The Pas and Thompson, Manitoba. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursing Faculty Team to identify student needs to
support their academic success and will be committed to excellence in teaching and promoting an interdisciplinary approach to care. The
instructor will also assist with assigned activities including University College promotion, student recruitment, and various program
administrative functions, which may include teaching. This position offers flexible work hours.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Registered Nurse with a Graduate Nursing Degree; a combination of an Undergraduate Degree (BN) and experience may be
considered

Active CRNM membership with no restrictions
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing within the last 5 years
-
Diverse nursing experience, including medical-surgical, gerontology, OBS, mental health, and northern nursing
-
Effective time management skills
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Excellent organizational skills
-
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
-
Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Suite
-
Familiarity with issues specific to Indigenous learners and mature students in northern communities
-
Commitment to life-long learning
ASSETS
• Previous instructional experience

Familiarity with Mannequin based simulation and/or VR simulation
-
Familiarity with curriculum development and delivery
-
Ability to speak an Indigenous language
