What You’ll Do:

As a Proposal Graphic Designer and 3D Modelling/CAD Technician, you’ll support our estimating and pre-construction teams by developing high-quality technical models and visual content that elevate our proposals and execution plans.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Producing detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation Connect, and other design platforms.
• Supporting project planning through the creation of road, wharf, water/sewer, and municipal layouts.
• Creating steel and pipe design drawings, including piping plans and isometrics.
• Developing 3D and 4D models and simulations to support takeoffs, visualization, and construction sequencing.
• Preparing animations and rendered walk-throughs that communicate project methodology to clients and internal teams.
• Creating high-impact presentation materials using tools such as PowerPoint, Enfusion, and Synchro.
• Supporting total station and GPS positioning workflows for layout and verification.
• Participating in proposal planning meetings to understand scope and tailor visuals to project strategies.
• Maintaining organized and version-controlled drawing sets and model files.
• Reviewing outputs for accuracy and compliance with Pennecon and client standards.

You’ll work closely with estimators, engineers, planners, and proposal writers and report directly to the Manager of Pre-Construction Services, contributing to Pennecon’s reputation for professional, strategic, and visually strong proposals.

What We're Looking For:

We’re excited to meet candidates who have:

• A diploma or certification in Computer-Aided Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D, Civil 3D, MicroStation Connect, PDMS, Navisworks, and related software.
• Familiarity with total station/GPS-based layout practices.
• Experience in municipal and industrial infrastructure layout including roadworks, water/sewer, wharf, and structural/pipe design.
• Competence in 3D and 4D modeling, animation, and visualization for pre-construction or project planning.
• Strong graphic design capabilities for producing high-quality visual presentations, to be incorporated into PowerPoint, Enfusion, Synchro, etc
• An interest in collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
