Civeo Canada is seeking a dedicated Senior Safety Advisor to support the general operations of our business units, with a focus on Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Janitorial services. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving safety and training programs to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety management systems and life-saving rules.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate and lead emergency response exercises (technical and tabletop).
- Deliver and maintain training programs, orientations, and mentorship initiatives.
- Support operational teams with hazard identification, BBOs, and Myosh system use.
- Provide coaching and feedback on SWIs, safety practices, and competency development.
- Maintain accurate training records and contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and procedures.
- Collaborate with operational leadership and competency advisors to refine training content and delivery.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations, codes, and best practices.
- Experience in training delivery, safety inspections, and emergency response.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and mentor others.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in using safety management systems and digital tools (e.g., Myosh).
- Ability to adapt to change and work collaboratively across departments.
- Valid driver's license and clean 5-year driver's abstract.
- Must be able to stay in camps in remote locations and work on a rotational schedule.
Preferred Experience
- Background in hospitality, facilities management, or remote workforce environments.
- Experience with SWI development and competency-based training programs.
