Inventory Control Coordinator Location: Winnipeg, MB
Status: Full-time
Reports to: Warehouse and Inventory Control Supervisor
Position Summary: Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for the
daily inventory management of cannabis assets, including plants, bulk cannabis, Finished goods &
consumable items. Assist in tracking, controlling & reporting of all cannabis, as well as aid in supporting.
the production planners as they create the packaging work orders for the bulk cannabis. Active participation in all inventory processes is a fundamental responsibility of this role.
Key Responsibilities: • Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company
policy.
• Work with other departments to help maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer
demand.
• Regularly follow up with Planning, Packaging & production teams in ensuring the needed
materials are staged a day ahead of the production date at the designated staging areas.
• Investigate and help correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories.
• Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
(EOB, ERP inventory reports, etc.).
• Manage cycle counts of product inventories regularly.
• Portray safe work practices.
• Assist in closing purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Process returns orders when defective or aged products are discovered and sent back (RTVs).
• Coordinate with customer service, sales, and logistics departments (B2B).
• Work with the bulk demand planner on date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate
the removal or transfer of product as needed (destruction process).
• Perform process and system testing and track performance by area to locate and solve problems
in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency (process improvement).
• Establish trusted relationships with surrounding departments to ensure quality service and cost-effective processes.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: • Proven proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications is required.
• Microsoft Word, Excel are required.
• Ability to operate a forklift, electric pallet jack, or other transport vehicle safely and effectively.
• Experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences
with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally, is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Proven ability to identify and generate recommendations through strategic and actionable analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 3 years equivalent experience.
