About the Role:

Reporting to the Credit & Collections Manager, the Credit & Collections Analyst will be responsible for tracking, following up, and reporting on overdue accounts, assessing credit risk for new customers, processing returns/credits, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer issues. This role plays a vital part in maintaining strong financial operations and ensuring timely collections.

The successful applicant will:

  • Conduct credit checks on new customers and review existing accounts annually or as needed.
  • Review Accounts Receivable weekly and take action on overdue accounts.
  • Process credits and invoices while enforcing AR policies.
  • Investigate and resolve customer payment issues.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Escalate at-risk accounts to senior leadership.
  • Write off accounts when necessary and approved
  • Maintain customer notes on collection efforts.
  • Provide feedback and reports on account collections.
  • Act as backup for AR specialists, assisting with payment processing.
  • Engage in personal development and training.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and finance projects as needed

We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:

  • College or university education is preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
  • Prior experience with MS Dynamics 365 is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High attention to detail and organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
