Senior Analyst, Finance **Status: 1 Year Contract
Type: Hybrid, 4 days in office

We are seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team on a 1-Year contract basis to play a key role in driving accurate financial reporting and strategic financial planning.
The Senior Analyst, Finance will assist in performing analyses to generate relevant and actionable insights supported by data, focused on supporting business decisions and financial controls. They will utilize various reporting tools and will liaise with various stakeholders to forecast, plan, and analyze results to ensure the delivery of accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and quality period-end Management reporting and provide variance analyses against forecast, plan and prior year for Senior Management, Operations and Clinics
- Prepare and take ownership of month-end close journal entries and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (within and outside of Finance) to address any discrepancies and streamline reporting processes, as well as to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
- Regular analysis of new post-acquisition clinics to ensure proper onboarding of financial statements
- Prepare calculations supporting the acquisition cost of new clinics and ensuring proper treatment on both the income statement and balance sheet
- Work closely with business teams to ensure that initiatives are properly built in the plan and forecasts
- Adhoc reports, analyses and other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- Advanced computer skills in Excel; working knowledge of Power BI and macros an asset
- Strong attention to detail and an appreciation and acumen for having detailed checks and balances in place
- Must be able to provide sound analysis and comparisons with some guidance
- Adaptive and ability to prioritize work
- 4+ years experience working in finance
- Strong sense of ownership to meet commitments and deadlines
- Communicates with clarity; verbally and written
- Demonstrates strong business acumen, career driven and keen to learn and contribute
- CPA, CFA, or similar finance/accounting designation is considered an asset
- University degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or related field
