At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).
Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:
Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.
Thrive together: We want you—the unique, authentic you—to feel safe and celebrated at work. We're on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.
Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.
About the role
The Financial Advisor Associate Support Team (FAAST) is a unique and dynamic group dedicated to empowering Financial Advisors across the communities we serve. We are a high-volume, fast-paced, and exceptionally efficient team that plays a crucial role in supporting the growth of ATB Wealth. Beyond handling a high volume of client account maintenance and transactional requests, we're also responsible for training new Financial Advisor Associates, providing emergency support where needed, and contributing to special projects that streamline operations and create efficiencies for the firm and our advisors. We're constantly evolving, striving for improvement, and working hard to make a significant impact.
As ATB Wealth’s next Financial Advisor Associate on the FAAST team, you will be instrumental in providing friendly, professional, and essential support services to our Financial Advisors in a one to many model. You'll play a key role in managing and administering portfolios for ATB Wealth clients, ensuring a high level of quality service through the efficient preparation and fulfillment of a variety of tasks through a queue based system for example account openings, updates and transfer ins.
Accountabilities
- Work collaboratively with other customer-obsessed Financial Advisor Associates on FAAST, effectively managing a high-volume task queue to deliver administrative support services to multiple Financial Advisors across our national footprint.
- Detail-oriented and ensuring every task is completed flawlessly.
- Maintain a strong understanding of investment related regulations, sales processes, policies & procedures, and compliance requirements
- Follow best practices in maintaining up to date client information and record keeping.
- Ensure all trading activities are processed in accordance with Advisor requests and resolve any issues brought forth
- Proactively identify and pursue new responsibilities and learning opportunities.
- Help create new and optimize existing business processes to improve our efficiency, reduce errors and transactional cost.
- Facilitate the onboarding and development of fellow Associates by actively participating in and potentially leading cohort training sessions.
- Participate in project work and initiatives that contribute to team and organizational goals beyond daily queue management and training responsibilities.
- Work closely with other teams at ATB Wealth, including operations to continuously improve our service while contributing to a supportive and innovative team environment.
Skills, experience & requirements
- Registered (or working towards being registered) as an Investment Representative (IR) with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). This includes the completion of the:
- Canadian Securities Course
- Conduct & Practices Handbook
- Investment Representative Training Program (30-day)
- Proficient in wealth management solutions and operational protocols.
- Possesses exceptional integrity, always upholding the highest ethical standards, and is committed to hard work.
- Fosters robust relationships with Advisors, all while consistently delivering our high service standards.
- Excels at managing high-volume workloads within a team setting, consistently maintaining meticulous organization and impeccable attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player who consistently delivers high-quality work that supports team objectives and contributes to firm-wide success.
- Tech savvy and has a good working knowledge of G-suite tools.
- Proficient with overseeing all administrative aspects of client investment accounts.
- Comfortable translating training content in cohort, job shadow situations.
- A problem solver and naturally curious, if something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on.
- An excellent communicator and able to convey complex ideas succinctly.
- Post secondary education and previous industry related brokerage experience would be considered an asset.

A resume only goes so far in expressing who you are and the unique perspectives you bring. If you believe your skills and experience align with the role—but you might not check all the boxes—we want to hear from you. We encourage candidates from all work backgrounds, equity-seeking communities and experience levels to apply. If you’re seeking a career where your drive, perspective and growth are celebrated, we want to hear from you.
We’re dedicated to building a workforce reflective of those within our communities, and a culture where our team members are equipped with what they need to succeed—their way. Part of creating an inclusive workplace is recognizing our role in advancing Truth and Reconciliation. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the standards set out in the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations program created by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.
