Associate Merchant, Hard Discount Centre of Store
Join us at Loblaw Companies Limited as an Associate Merchant in our Hard Discount Division supporting the No Frills and Maxi banners to deliver great products and customer programs to over 475 grocery retail stores across Canada. Reporting to the Category Director and working closely with the Merchants, you will be part of a diverse and dynamic team that are data-driven and customer centric with a passion for food! What You'll Do:
- Work collaboratively with various business units including Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Control Brands, Supply Chain, loyalty, e-commerce, marketing, media, and other divisions to build and execute customer centric merchandising programs that drive profitable sales growth.
- Provide support to your Merchants in promotional program execution, including data-entry, data-integrity management, flyer/digital/instore advertising accuracy, vendor income collection, inventory management, store communications and retail pricing.
- Use data and analytics to provide your Merchants and Category Director with insights on category performance and other ad-hoc inquiries as requested in a timely manner.
- Support your Merchant(s) and/or Category Director in product assortment planning and coordinating seasonal planogram executions: including data-entry, data integrity management and ad-hoc reporting.
- Support the Category Director in managing the financial activity of the category and collaborate with the Merchants, vendor(s) and finance team to investigate and resolve income inquiries.
What You'll Need:
- A curious, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience in Retail, Sales, Merchandising or knowledge of retail, financial or business processes preferred
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate productively with many diverse teams.
- Experience using data and analytical skills to drive innovative insights.
