The Hill School of Business is seeking a Student Assistant to support the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs in driving course registration for the 2025–26 academic year. Reporting to the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs), the successful candidate will take the lead on developing and implementing a targeted digital marketing and communication strategy and implementation to promote Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 course registration, academic programs, and other important messages. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly influence student enrollment and institutional revenue. The role is ideal for a self-starter passionate about marketing, digital communication, and student engagement. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Associate Dean to design and execute a digital marketing strategy that encourages student registration and promotes academic programming. Create and schedule social media content, email campaigns, and promotional materials tailored to student audiences. Support the development of traditional marketing assets such as posters, postcards, and digital signage. Contribute to internal communication efforts such as the Hill student newsletter. Analyze campaign reach, engagement, and effectiveness using basic analytics tools. Assist with academic integrity awareness campaigns and other special projects as needed. Support the coordination and implementation of registration initiatives in alignment with academic priorities.

Position Requirements

  • Completion of BUS 210 (Introduction to Marketing) is required.
  • Completion of 300- or 400-level marketing courses (e.g., Digital Marketing Strategy, Strategic Marketing, Promotional Marketing Strategy) is considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in social media marketing, graphic design (e.g., Canva), or content creation is an asset.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As Per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours

~10 hours/week (flexible, based on student schedule)
