Clerical Assistant Clinics ENT Clinic
About the role
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Clinical Leader/Manager, the Clerical Assistant will be responsible for performing a broad range of administrative, clerical and receptionist duties in the ENT Clinic. Functioning as an integral part of the health care team and front line worker, you will be accountable for:
- Scheduling outpatient appointments and procedures and follow-up appointments for several physicians;
- Liaising with various hospital departments such as labs, medical imaging, medical records, etc. to exchange information and to resolve issues;
- Operating multi-line telephones, greeting and receiving visitors (patients, families, etc.) and registration of patient's data into hospital computer system;
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives;
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a recognized Office Administration program or equivalent experience
- Medical Terminology certificate required
- Software Applications; Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, ADT, MS4, Soarian scheduling
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good judgment and discretion
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Highly organized and efficient time manager
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Flexibility in rotating job assignments
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record
