Reporting directly to the Research Operations Manager, Clinical Research, CAMH is seeking a part-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst to provide support to a variety of clinical research activities across the divisions of the institution. The position will work across research at CAMH with a focus on Hospital Medicine. The position will require a highly experienced qualitative and quantitative research background and the ideal candidate will be capable of conducting daily tasks with minimal supervision. Primary responsibilities will include supporting the gathering and analyzing of quantitative data, supporting creation of poster presentations, manuscript writing, and knowledge translation tasks. This role will also include involvement in regulatory submissions including but not limited to initial protocol submissions, protocol amendments, and communication with the Research Ethics Board, liaising with study investigators, and assisting in grant submissions. Additional duties may include data entry, data cleaning, assisting in the recruitment of participants, and preparing data for presentations and peer-reviewed research papers. The candidate may also be required to assist with other administrative duties as necessary. Job Requirements

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, neuroscience or related degree combined with 1-year of relevant research or clinical experience.

  • Previous quantitative research experience is required.
  • Previous qualitative research experience is an asset
  • Previous experience with quality improvement studies is an asset.
  • Experience with statistical analysis is required.
  • Previous experience with regulatory and grant submissions is an asset.
  • Prior research or service experience with individuals and/or families with mental health and/or addictions is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and database software packages (e.g. SPSS, R, REDCap) is essential.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and organizational skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • The candidate will be detail-oriented, possess analytical thinking skills, and be able to exercise initiative and good judgment.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting program deadlines.
  • Ability to liaise across an interprofessional team is necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and liaise with study investigators.
  • Candidate requires the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
