Are you passionate about connecting people through the arts? The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver is seeking a dynamic and community-minded Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator to help grow audiences and deepen relationships for our Norman and Annette Rothstein Theatre and the Chutzpah! Festival, one of Vancouver’s premiere performing arts festivals.
In this new role, you will be the link between our vibrant performances and the people and communities they are meant to reach. From community outreach and artist partnerships to audience development and donor engagement, this role is central to building a sustainable and inclusive future for Jewish and culturally diverse performing arts in Vancouver.
Your Impact
- Build strong relationships with Jewish and culturally diverse arts communities
- Connect school and family audiences with enriching and accessible experiences
- Help grow our audience base, earned revenue, and long-term donor support
- Coordinate volunteers, collaborate with artists, and support artist/community partnerships
- Represent the JCC at events and be the warm, welcoming face of the Chutzpah! Festival
What You Bring
- 2+ years of outreach, engagement, or fundraising experience
- A people-first mindset, outstanding communication skills, and love for the arts
- Experience building collaborative partnerships and engaging diverse communities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A flexible schedule with availability for some evenings and weekends
Position Details
- Hours: 20 hours/week most of the year; increases to 40 hours/week during Chutzpah! Festival delivery period (6-8 weeks)
- Compensation: $26–$30/hour commensurate with experience
- Contract Period: August 5, 2025 - July 31, 2026 with benefits
