About the role
Job Description
You will mainly be responsible for the service and inspection of fire alarm systems according to standards and codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:
- Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems;
- Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection;
- Preparation of inspection, verification and deficiencies reports in a timely manner;
- Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist;
- Valid CFAA certification (required);
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of fire protection systems;
- Experience in programming fire alarm panels;
- Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537;
- Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset);
- Valid driver’s license;
- Ability to work well independently;
- Strong customer service skills.
