Job Function
The Assistant Security Supervisor protects WNW Toronto’s assets, guests, and employees, and provides exceptional leadership to our front-line security attendants.
Reports to
Manager of Operations & Security Supervisor
Responsibilities
Assist in supervising daily operations of the security team, ensuring staff coverage and adherence to park policies.
Maintain open and consistent communication with the Security Supervisor to align on daily priorities and team expectations.
Provide on-site leadership and guidance to security attendants during shifts.
Respond to and manage incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
Conduct regular patrols of the park, including parking lots, behind-the-scenes areas, and perimeters.
Assist with the coordination of lost child/parent reunifications and guest welfare calls.
Enforce park policies, including prohibited items, re-entry guidelines, and behavior expectations.
Liaise with Operations, Aquatics, First Aid, Access Control, and other departments to support smooth operations and incident responses.
Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services if needed.
Assist the Security Supervisor with creating and adjusting staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during park hours and special events.
Help manage shift changes, replacements, and last-minute call-ins to maintain operational readiness with minimal disruption.
Participate in daily briefings, ensuring security staff are informed of park updates and special concerns.
Responsible for overseeing park opening and closing procedures to ensure safety, security, and operational readiness.
Requirements:
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (required)
Previous supervisory experience in a security or guest-facing environment (preferred)
Prior experience as a security guard in a high-volume or outdoor venue (preferred
Use of Force and/or Handcuffing Certification (asset, but not required)
Standard First Aid (asset, but not required)
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to direct and support a team
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations
