About the role
As a Business Analyst you will maintain efficient business and operating systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. Your goal will be to gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives, and system requirements. Your success will depend on your ability to generate, and compile reports based on findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to process or system issues and inefficiencies.
Kindly note this is a fixed term position for approximately 12 months

Your Responsibilities
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
- Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications
- Communicate changes, enhancements, user requirements, modifications, and business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
- Track and document the problem-solving process, including all decisions made and action taken, through to final resolution
- Work with vendors and 3rd parties to resolve hardware, networking, and software issues
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization
- Ensures application and process security risks are identified and proactively analyzed with internal IT counterparts with engagement of 3rd party partners, where applicable
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to support recommendations and purchasing efforts
Your Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong computer literacy - Must be advanced with Microsoft Excel and intermediate with other Microsoft Office programs
- Strong analytical skills with a strong ability to manage, analyze and interpret data
- Ability to work independently
Your Experience
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma preferred, with a focus in business or data analytics
- Experience working with Microsoft Access & JD Edwards software is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an analytics-related role
