Job Title Janitorial Area Manager

Job Description Summary The Janitorial Area Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the custodial functions at various sites. The incumbent is responsible for the overall management of the Operations and Maintenance of buildings, and supervises the account managers assigned to individual projects. Specific responsibilities include customer relations/retention, quality assurance oversight, employee assessment/development, staffing, budget oversight, cost containment and reduction, short/long range planning, problem solving, and new product/service delivery.

Job Description Essential Duties:

  • Manage the day to day operations at various sites to meet janitorial specifications.
  • Manage and supervise the operation of all staff, and vendors at accounts to include scheduling, payroll functions, and training of staff.
  • Accountable for responding to all service related calls that include: service work orders, spills, floods, door access issues, emergency clean ups.
  • Openly communicate at all levels with the client, and employees serving as primary contact for all client/customer-relations issues, and concerns.
  • Perform daily site inspections.
  • Ensure account is in compliant with all safety training, and safety related incident.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum two to three year’s managerial experience in Custodial or Maintenance Services or a similar environment overseeing multiple sites.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and execute tasks with minimal supervision
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, as required.
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (including MS office)
  • Possess strong ability to multi-tasks and develop priorities
  • Possess exceptional ability to apply working knowledge of working environment to achieve target goals and objectives.
  • Possess ability to interact with clients, staff, and faculty in a positive manner.
  • Current/unexpired Driver’s License with good driving record.

The compensation for the position is: $53,040.00 - $62,400.00
