About the role
Pixomondo (PXO) is an award-winning, solutions-oriented visual effects company that solves creative challenges for its clients and partners, crafting high-level visual effects for feature films, television series and commercials productions. Purpose
As a 3D Pipeline USD Developer, you work within our global pipeline team to help build facility-level pipeline tools and scripts that follow industry-standard USD designs and workflows and can be used iteratively on ongoing shows.
Responsibilities:

Provide support to CG departments;
-
Create show and facility based scripts and tools;
-
Follow agile methodology:
-
Work in sprints and complete work items within the sprint’s cadence;
-
Attend daily stand-ups with the 3D Pipeline Team as well as other weekly ceremonies;

Participate in code reviews, give and take appropriate feedback to team members.
Requirements
-
3+ years of work experience in Python;
-
3+ years of work experience in VFX/Animation industry;
-
Good team-player and communicator;
-
Excellent writing and communication skills in English;
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills;
-
Fair knowledge of Maya, Houdini and Nuke;
-
Familiarity with git/rez and collaborative workflows (code review, standards, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:

Academic background in Computer Science or Software Engineering;
-
Ability to conduct research, analyze and advise accordingly;
-
Knowledge of Shotgun (our production database);
-
Comfortable with object-oriented programming and design paradigms;
-
UI development experience with Pyside/Qt/QML;
-
Proficiency in working with one or more renderers (e.g. Karma, Husk, Arnold, etc.);
-
Experience in writing unit-tests and applying PEP8.
