Job Summary
Chief Isaac Mechanical is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in troubleshooting and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Identify mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Repairs & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on cars, trucks, and other vehicles.
- Brake & Suspension Work: Repair and replace brakes, suspension systems, and other key vehicle components.
- Engine & Transmission Work: Conduct engine tune-ups, transmission repairs, and fuel system maintenance.
- Parts & Inventory: Identify required parts, coordinate orders, and maintain an organized workspace.
- Customer Service: Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all repairs meet industry safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
- Certification: Red Seal or Journeyperson Automotive Technician certification is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair techniques.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting, carrying, and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Driver’s License: Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.

About CHIEF ISAAC
The Chief Isaac Group of Companies was established in 1984 to own and operate the business interests of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in (translated as ‘people of the river'), a self-governing Yukon First Nation serving the Han people located in Dawson City.
In 2009, the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Trust was established as the sole shareholder of the Chief Isaac Group of Companies acting on behalf of the Trust's beneficiaries – the citizens of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in.
The Chief Isaac Group of Companies operates contemporary enterprises in the modern world, while remaining rooted in the strong, ethical traditions of our ancestors.
Our group of companies respectfully carries the name of this historic Chief who led the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in at the time of the Klondike Gold Rush during the late 1800s.
