Summary

Hockley Valley Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked to meet the resort’s high standards. This role requires a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests, as well as a strong attention to detail and adherence to housekeeping policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and respond promptly to their questions and concerns
• Change bed linens and make beds to standard
• Replace used towels and restock bathroom amenities (e.g., shampoo, soap)
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately
• Restock minibar beverages and snacks
• Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways and corridors
• Report maintenance and repair issues to the appropriate department
• Update room status on assignment sheets accurately
• Return and organize cleaning carts at the end of each shift

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous housekeeping and/or guest service experience an asset
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and products
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Physical stamina and mobility to perform required tasks
• Professional, honest, and polite demeanor

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, crouching, and lifting involved

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.86 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

• Mono, ON L9W 5X7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
