About the role
Our client, a leading Health Care organization located in Ottawa, ON, is currently looking to hire a AR Supervisor on a 3 month contract. This is a hybrid position – 1 day on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision
- Oversees daily operations, ensuring equipment and systems are used safely and effectively.
- Assigns tasks, addresses performance issues, and supports team development through goal setting and annual reviews.
- Handles scheduling, vacation approvals, sick calls, and staffing needs.
- Supports hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Acts as a key contact for resolving internal team concerns.
Department Operations
- Assists with budget planning and monitors spending, including variance tracking.
- Coordinates with internal and external teams to support smooth service delivery.
- Ensures efficient use of people, tools, and materials.
- Organizes staff training, certifications, and onboarding programs.
Quality & Improvement
- Contributes to policy updates, performance standards, and procedural improvements.
- Leads initiatives aimed at process optimization and monitors key performance indicators.
- Assists in incident investigations and supports corrective actions.
Other Duties
- Prepares reports for leadership and external partners.
- Maintains databases and departmental systems.
- Participates in relevant meetings and ongoing learning to stay up to date.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a College Diploma (3 Year Program), or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Accounting, AR or financial operations
- In-progress or near completion of CPA designation
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Strong analytical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
- High proficiency in Excel
