We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team! This is an 18 month contract opportunity. The Senior Business Systems Analyst (IT Enterprise Applications – Finance) is responsible for providing system and solution analysis, eliciting and understanding business requirements, translating business requirements into solution design and configuration specifications and implementation.

To deliver business solutions, this position will primarily work with Workday Financial Management processes, including General Ledger, Financials Reporting, Payables, Receivables, Employee Expenses, Banking and Settlements.

The position resides within the IT Enterprise Applications team and reports to the Product Manager, Corporate Finance Solutions, who may assign project/solution/enhancement roles covering tactical and strategic initiatives.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, document, and implement Workday-based solutions for all finance modules.
  • Map data requirements for report specifications and solution integration initiatives.
  • Manage and facilitate solution testing strategies and execute test plans.
  • Collaborate with vendors during solution configurations and implementations.
  • Deploy completed solutions in alignment with IT architecture strategies. Create and document setup/configuration manuals and provide training as required.
  • Develop user manuals and train business users to ensure solutions and processes are well understood during rollout.
  • Support Finance month-end close activities.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Proven experience with finance data structures and ERP/EPM solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of solution configuration, security management, and software testing.
  • Expertise in integrations, business process changes, security and change management.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Workday experience and Financial Management Certifications are assets.

Beneficial:

  • Experience with Adaptive Planning or similar planning software.
  • Experience as a business user of ERP solutions.
  • Familiarity or experience with finance, budgeting, planning and workflow solutions, including Workday Finance or other modules.
