Group Summary Cosma provides a comprehensive range of body, chassis and engineering solutions to global customers. Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.

Responsibilities Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up equipment and machinery as required.
  • Responsible for the operation of presses.
  • Perform and document Quality Assurance first-off, hourly, and last-off inspections on all parts as per the Control Plan and advise Team Leader and/or Supervisor of non-conforming conditions.
  • Document results and correction actions as required.
  • Rotate and operate all Transfer Press equipment as assigned.
  • Complete Production Traceability Reports as per station control.
  • Responsible for producing quality parts that are in compliance with standard rates while adhering to customer requirements.
  • Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping in addressing hazards, defective equipment, wearing personal protective equipment as required, and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Follow and abide all company policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  • Follow and abide by all government legislation and guidelines.
  • Perform all other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret written reports, correspondence, instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to perform various computer functions (Microsoft Office, CMS).
  • Ability to follow work instructions with minimal supervison as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with and knowledge of safe press and weld operations an asset.
  • Grade 12 Education or GED
