JOB DESCRIPTION
AAA Canada is looking for a Sealer to add expertise to our team. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the incumbent's main mandate will be to seal certain sections of aircraft and specific parts, in compliance with established quality standards. Sealers are involved in the preparation and application of sealants on various aeronautical components.
Responsibilities
- Planning
- Estimate job scope and duration;
- Select materials required to complete the job;
- Prepare work area for task;
- Prepare ground support equipment, such as stands, scissor lift tables, scaffolding, ladders and carts.
- Surface preparation :
- Clean aircraft, parts and components for application and inspection.
- Coating application:
- Clean surfaces by wiping with a sticky cloth before coating;
- Apply coatings.
- Quality assurance and equipment maintenance:
- Document repair and application;
- Evaluate finished product and work performed to defined specifications.
Skills and qualifications
- Academic background: hold a DES and pass an assessment demonstrating basic technical skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors, finishes and textures;
- Ability to identify relevant details in objects or graphic representations;
- Ability to notice finishing details;
- Able to work at height (gondola);
- Excellent manual dexterity;
- Ability to adapt to numerous technological changes;
- Ability to work as part of a team (multidisciplinary team);
- Apply good occupational safety practices as well as rules and regulations pertaining to their work and work environment;
Required experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the aeronautical sector.
