Position Overview: As a Welder at Columbia Industries Ltd., you will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding operations using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) on different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.).
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Valid welding certification (e.g., CWB, AWS) is an asset.
- Proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
