About the role
Aramark Sports + Entertainment is looking to hire a Concessions Manager at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Scotiabank Centre is the largest multipurpose facility in Atlantic Canada and the hub for major events in Nova Scotia. As the region’s premier venue for sports and entertainment, our facility is proudly home to the Halifax Mooseheads, the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, and the Halifax Thunderbirds.
WHO YOU ARE: As a Concessions Manager, you will oversee concessions stand operations to support all events at the arena, reporting to the Concessions Director. Your primary focus will be overseeing all aspects of bar and alcohol service within the arena concessions, including leading staff, regulatory compliance, inventory control, menu development, and customer service. You ensure high-quality beverage service, manage costs, and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for both staff and fans.

Leadership & Team Development
- Reward and recognize employees, plan and lead daily team briefings, and supervise the team in areas of production, quality, and control.
- Use Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members to their fullest potential.
- Ensure the entire team is trained and able to implement Aramark processes.
Operational Excellence
- Bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management.
- Adopt all Aramark processes and systems; understand performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends.
- Ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements.
- Deliver client and company financial targets.
Client Relations & Service Quality
- Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
Compliance & Company Standards
- Follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, wage, and hour.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a supervisor or management role.
- Demonstrated experience in special events or high-volume food and beverage operations within the hospitality industry, with a focus on bar or beverage services.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Completion of Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required.
- Role requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs, and the ability to remain standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible, event-based hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
