The expected annual pay range: $90,000 - $105,000 per year

We’re looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our Purchasing team based in the 2777 Kingsway office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the VP of Chocolate Operations.
Job Overview: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day procurement and supply planning activities along with managing, coaching and developing the purchasing team members. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for ensuring the team’s alignment to the overall procurement strategy and supply chain vision, along with maintaining and developing strong supplier relationships to promote overall supply chain resiliency.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in the procurement process, supply planning and vendor management.
Procurement processes:
- Coach and onboard new purchasing team members; train on procurement processes.
- Support new product launches by identifying and communicating procurement risks.
- Lead testing of procurement functions during software/ERP implementations.
- Track and report KPIs (e.g., supplier OTIF, NCRs).
- Conduct root cause analysis on late deliveries and supply disruptions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost team efficiency.
Supply planning:
- Approve long-term supply plans for both purchased and manufactured items.
- Oversee lifecycle management and inventory ramp-down for end-of-life items.
- Manage safety stock levels to balance service and capital efficiency.
- Promote accurate master data and ERP settings to optimize supply chain performance.
Vendor management:
- Optimize vendor payment terms and advise on contracts/service agreements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Lead supplier market exploration and qualification to reduce supply risk.
- Oversee resolution of price/quantity discrepancies between purchasing and AP teams.
You will be a good fit if you:
- Have a minimum 5 years of experience in the procurement field
- Have 2+ years of experience leading a team
- Have expertise in Power BI and/or Power Query, Syteline (ERP), WMS
- Have expertise and strong understanding of MRP functionality/logic
- Have a professional supply chain or purchasing certification (APICS CSCP, SCMP, PMP)
- Fluency in Mandarin is an asset
