About the role
Who you are
- Experience Level: 2+ years
- We bring together engineers who love building core infrastructure, obsess over developer experience, and want to make complex systems scalable, observable, and reliable
- You have 2+ years of hands-on software development experience
- You’re language agnostic, comfortable working in whatever stack suits the problem best (e.g., Python, Go, Rust, etc.)
- You understand or are eager to learn cloud-native infrastructure: Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD systems, and infrastructure-as-code
- You have a strong sense of ownership and engineering maturity—your code runs in production and you want it to stay up
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in environments where problems are not fully scoped
- You care about developer experience and building the tooling that makes others faster and safer
- You bring a security-first mindset to how infrastructure and systems are built. (Bonus: familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.)
- You communicate clearly, seek feedback, and give it thoughtfully
- You are interested in shared on-call responsibilities, after ramp-up, as part of a culture of ownership and operational excellence
What the job involves
- Teams Hiring: Reliability Engineering, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Data Ingestion
- At RelationalAI, we are building the future of intelligent data systems through our cloud-native relational knowledge graph management system—a platform designed for learning, reasoning, and prediction
- We are a remote-first, globally distributed team with colleagues across six continents
- From day one, we’ve embraced asynchronous collaboration and flexible schedules, recognizing that innovation doesn’t follow a 9-to-5
- As a Software Engineer in our Cloud Engineering organization, you’ll work on one of four teams critical to the foundation and delivery of our platform:
- Reliability Engineering — Owns observability, incident response analytics, security & compliance enforcement, and service health insights
- Continuous Integration — Builds and scales pre-integration pipelines, test infrastructure, and build systems to maintain developer velocity
- Continuous Deployment — Manages CD pipelines, native app packaging, feature flagging, DR, and multi-cloud deployments
- Data Ingestion (SF Integration) — Owns ingestion pipelines, SQL interfaces, billing, and resource provider framework bridging cloud and service layers
- You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to build robust infrastructure and tools that enable high-velocity, high-confidence software delivery
- You’ll also contribute to critical architectural decisions and champion reliability, efficiency, and simplicity in every layer of the stack
- Impact – You’ll help shape the platform that underpins data reasoning and intelligent systems at scale
- Growth – We invest in our people. You’ll work alongside some of the most talented engineers in cloud, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure
- Autonomy – You’ll have the trust and flexibility to explore, build, and lead from day one
About RelationalAI
Our Company Headquartered in Berkeley, California, RelationalAI is the industry’s first relational knowledge graph coprocessor for data clouds, streamlining and enhancing decision-making across organizations. Our mission at RelationalAI is to power every decision with intelligence by bringing business knowledge and logic closer to your data.
Our Team Our remote-first team is globally distributed across 26 countries, comprising over 160 professionals, including more than 100 engineers and data scientists, and over 50 PhDs. Our collective expertise spans AI, machine learning, databases, languages, and operations research. To date, we have earned over 35 research awards, underscoring our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Our Technology With RelationalAI, you can capture distributed knowledge and model your business as a relational knowledge graph, creating a comprehensive digital representation of your operations. Knowledge graphs turn an organization's collective understanding into a comprehensive model of the business. This digital representation captures the essential details of your operations.
Our Native App, accessible through the Snowflake Marketplace, operates within your Snowflake account and enables you to take full advantage of the existing security and governance parameters, with no data egress. With RelationalAI, you can apply various AI techniques, including graph analytics, rule-based reasoning, prescriptive, and predictive analytics, to your data cloud. This integration enhances decision-making and streamlines operations, providing a powerful solution for modern business needs.
Our cloud-native technology is designed for cloud-scale performance with features like separation of compute and storage, zero-copy cloning, data versioning, and consumption-based pricing, all while leveraging the same relational paradigm that organizations have trusted for decades.
