Job Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, as the Accounting Summer Student you are responsible for completing assigned accounting activities and providing support as directed.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Posting journal entries for accounts payables, accounts receivables, and other general transactions.
- Reconciling balance sheets and bank accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies when required.
- Examining documents and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Maintaining internal control procedures to support and provide guidance to accounting team members.
- Completing a variety of regular reports and analysis to summarize status and trends for internal stakeholders.
- Completing accounting related activities as required.

Essential Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accounting diploma or degree program.
Prior Accounting experience or relevant education/training. - Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), and accounting software (NewStar) or similar.

Work Conditions
