The Opportunity

Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are currently hiring for two (2) students to join our Continuous Improvement team for the Fall Term.

Join our Business Value Team (BVT), which is dedicated to process improvement, analytics, and project management to maximize resources and revenue. As a Co-op student, you will collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to identify and leverage improvement opportunities. This role offers a unique chance to:

The Opportunity

  • Improve your communication and leadership skills through coordinating cross-functional initiatives that generate business value

  • Gain exposure to the latest tools in data analytics and associated data visualizations (Oracle, Tableau)

  • Expand your knowledge on evidence-based decision making and data driven processes design.

  • Obtain highly valued understanding of project management and Lean Six Sigma concepts with opportunities to practice them in a dynamic working environment.

What you'll do:

Working as a valued part of our Procurement Continuous Improvement Team your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with business representatives and subject matter experts on process review and analytics to identify Continuous Improvement opportunities.

  • Develop standards, training, and communication documentation with direction from the Continuous Improvement Engineer.

  • Conduct basic data analysis and assessment of data quality.

  • Develop analytics and creation of dashboards and reporting frameworks.

Who you are:

  • Post secondary student in Industrial Engineering or Business eligible for a Spring/Summer 2025 Work Term.
  • High interest in analytics, business intelligence and continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter; must be able to meet deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team player with high level of curiosity, organizational skills, and good problem-solving acumen.
  • Attention to detail and prioritization skills.
