About the role

Job#: 2081825 Job Description: Process Consultant – QA Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our consulting practice has an opening for an Process Consultant to join our QA Modernization team. This role involves KPI tracking, process optimization, and driving data-informed transformation initiatives.

  • Client: Top 5 Bank
  • Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada
  • Hybrid model: 2 days a week
  • Contract Terms: 12 month rolling contract subject to extension with potential permanent conversion

Key Responsibilities: Transformation :

  • Design, develop, manage, refine and expand a comprehensive suite of 40+ KPIs to measure the progress of QA transformation across key dimensions such as quality, velocity, and cost. Examples of KPIs include: QA Cost %, Percentage of automation conducted by QE resources, Velocity from test design to execution, etc.
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify areas of focus for transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to plan, implement, and track new transformational initiatives.

Governance :

  • Lead QA Internal Gating Process.
  • Oversee the QA internal gating process to ensure the regression package is up to date and optimized for coverage
  • As the gating process owner, continuously evolve the gating process to help optimization of the regression package proactively
  • Act as the QA methodology and compliance SME with in-depth knowledge around the banks delivery methodology and provide guidance on compliance and audit matters

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and managing a KPIs to measure QA transformation across key dimensions such as quality, velocity, and cost.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to identify areas of focus for transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional QA teams to plan, implement, and track transformational initiatives that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leading QA internal gating processes, ensuring regression packages are current and optimized for test coverage.
  • Recognized subject matter expert (SME) in QA methodology and compliance, with deep knowledge of enterprise delivery methodologies (e.g., The banks delivery framework).

Adept at providing guidance on compliance and audit requirements, ensuring QA practices align with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.
