Sodexo is hiring a Full-Time Housekeeper to join our dedicated Environmental Services team at Victoria Hospital, part of London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario. In this essential role, you’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors alike.

Job Description
What You’ll Do:
As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you provide exceptional cleaning and sanitation services that contribute directly to patient safety and comfort. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Thoroughly cleaning rooms, washrooms, hallways, windows, carpets, and high-touch surfaces
- Maintaining cleanliness of light fixtures, furniture, vents, and mattresses
- Making and changing beds
- Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors
- Replenishing hygiene supplies
- Emptying garbage and biohazard containers
- Setting up furniture and performing minor repairs or reporting maintenance needs
- Adhering strictly to infection prevention, safety, and healthcare standards
- Working closely with fellow team members and hospital staff to ensure timely service
Schedule Details:
Shift: B6/B9 Discharge
- Mon: OFF
- Tue: OFF
- Wed: 11pm - 7am
- Thurs: 11pm - 7am
- Fri: 11pm - 7am
- Sat: 11pm - 7am
- Sun: 11pm - 7am
Flexibility is important as schedules may change based on department needs.

Complete Immunization Records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis A and B, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, TB Skin Tests - Steps 1 and 2)
Qualifications
What You Bring:

A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and handle equipment

Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety standards

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Vulnerable Sector Background Check and up-to-date immunization records
-
At least 1 year of housekeeping or custodial experience—healthcare setting experience is a strong asset
