Floyd's Diner, home of the famous Mahoney, is hiring for the following kitchen positions & locations:

Brentwood Bay (6719 W Saanich Rd)

• 1 x Line Lead ($23 /hr)
• 1 x FT/PT Cook 1 ($21.50 / hr)

Langford (721 Station Ave)

• 2 x FT/PT Cook 1 ($21.50 /hr)

Daily Duties:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
• Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions provided by the head chef
• Cook food items according to established standards and plating guides
• Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with meal preparation and plating as needed
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen

Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (Food Safe Level 1)
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent time management skills
