Job Title: Single Point of Access Officer Location: Carlisle or Workington Cumberland Council Offices Salary: �31,067 to �31,586 Hours: 37 Contract: Permanent Do you enjoy working independently and with a fantastic team of people? Do you have ambition and want to empower others?
We have a great opportunity for the right person to join the Customer Service Centre as a Single Point of Access Officer.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and proactive team who are passionate about providing top-level customer service to support the delivery of Cumberland Councils operating model.
The Role The team provide effective and efficient triage and support service, from the first point of contact, ensuring positive outcomes for customers to reduce demand on our front-line critical services. This can be through a range of channels such as face to face, online, telephony and email.
Supporting our front-line Services means that at times you may have to handle queries of a distressing nature or may need to resolve situations that mean working with distressed members of the public.
Services situated within the Customer Service Centre include Blue Badge, Free School Meals, Waste & Recycling, Waste Permits, Registration & Ceremonies, Highways Hotline, Revenues & Benefits, Complaints, Council Tax and Single Point of Access.
An understanding and knowledge of the relevant service area including key legislation, processes and policies involved would be desirable for this role however training will be provided to the successful candidate.
The ideal candidates will be proactive, have excellent customer service skills a flexible approach and must be able to adapt to a multichannel offer. If you have any experience with a call/contact centre environment this would be of interest to us.
