Position Title
Academic Tutor - Finance & Accounting Focus
Position Summary
The Academic Tutor will help students improve their understanding of concepts and processes related to their academic course work by providing one-on-one and small group tutorial support. This position specifically focuses on finance and accounting skills.
Position Responsibilities
-
Tutor students at all levels taught at Red Deer Polytechnic.

Liaise with faculty/instructors regarding the course focus and tutoring needs for their students

Maintain records of student use of tutoring service
-
Communicate the availability of tutoring services to faculty and students
-
Refer students to other services as required
Required Qualifications

Four (4) year undergraduate degree, or equivalent in Bachelor of Education or related degree

Two (2) to three (3) years of related experience

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Problem-solving and organizational skills

Strong self-motivation and initiative

Starting at $30.49 per hour
Benefits and Compensation Information
An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
